Hi,
I have used FLUENT version 14.5 to predict the convective heat transfer coefficients of bricks located in a wind tunnel and I have got certain values. Then when I have used another version of FLUENT which is "18.2", I have got different values of convective heat transfer coefficients. Is this normal? If no, what is the problem then? Issa |

Yes it's normal. But how different? I honestly can't keep track anymore of all the tiny under-the-hood changes over the years.
What you should do is load only the data file (without doing any iterations) in v18 and see if the htc changed. |

Many thanks Lucky Tran for your reply.
The difference ranges from 1-20% which depends on the location of the brick in the wind tunnel. |
