Hi all,

I am trying to study this article https://acoustique.ec-lyon.fr/publi/...llot_jfm71.pdf in order to understand how the measurements were taken.

But I have some doubts, due to my low experience. I try to summarise my doubts here:

1.I cannot understand why the authors use thi nondimensional number U0t/M. The mesh seems to be the same and the velocity as well. Does it change just the time at which the measurement were made?

2. At page 289 it is shown the so-called one-probe autocrrelation. Is the \Deltat in the formula (b) the time step?

3. Is the \Deltax1 in the formula (c) just the space step?

4. In the appendix D, formula D1, at pag. 325, there is a comparison between time correlatione and spatial correlation. How can these be compared since one has time in abscissa an the other has the space?

5.From this paper can you understand in which position are placed the measurement devices?
