Hi Guys,
I have just started using GridPro (6.5SP1) for generating mesh and imported the mesh into OpenFoam (3.x). However when I run the simulation, I immediately get the attached error. I export the mesh to openfoam directly from GridPro GUI, do I need to modify the files? My case is basically, two phase with a submerged body and I use waves2Foam as well. I would highly appreciate any comments. Ashkan |

after some work I managed to run my case but the convergence of momentum equation is very slow and the maximum volume fraction is very large
Code:
Phase-1 volume fraction = 0.680508272532 Min(alpha.water) = -9.52903932478e-09 Max(alpha.water) = 210.678508667 Relaxing time: 2.93 s smoothSolver: Solving for Ux, Initial residual = 0.0193840333647, Final residual = 0.000152695224742, No Iterations 1000 smoothSolver: Solving for Uy, Initial residual = 0.102112341557, Final residual = 0.00110817205785, No Iterations 1000 smoothSolver: Solving for Uz, Initial residual = 0.0555938873868, Final residual = 0.000308811443382, No Iterations 1000 GAMG: Solving for p_rgh, Initial residual = 0.236444847682, Final residual = 4.00092962541e-08, No Iterations 28 GAMG: Solving for p_rgh, Initial residual = 0.00126655108133, Final residual = 4.07260033482e-08, No Iterations 16 GAMG: Solving for p_rgh, Initial residual = 7.11032837285e-05, Final residual = 3.84681996922e-08, No Iterations 11 time step continuity errors : sum local = 6.10752544388e-11, global = 2.32990119629e-11, cumulative = 5.41746183157e-07 Quote:
I have attached snapshots of gridPro mesh and also log file of the checkMesh. I would highly appreciate any comments. Ashkan |

It seems that the magic word was "renumberMesh"
