Hi everyone!

I'm new using openFoam, so I'm trying to follow the examples of the chapter 2. At the section 2.1.5.3 I have to run

mapFields ../cavity -consistent

and the terminal have to show
Quote:
Source: ".." "cavity"
Target: "." "cavityFine"

Create databases as time
Case
: ../cavity
nProcs : 1

Source time: 0.5
Target time: 0.5

Create meshes

Source mesh size: 400 Target mesh size: 1600

Consistently creating and mapping fields for time 0.5

Creating mesh-to-mesh addressing ...
Overlap volume: 0.0001
Creating AMI between source patch movingWall and target patch movingWall ...

interpolating p
interpolating U

End
But it show me

Quote:
Source: "/home/openfoam/OpenFoam/Oscar/run" "cavity"
Target: "/home/openfoam/OpenFoam/Oscar/run" "cavityFine"

Create databases as time

Source time: 0
Target time: 0
Create meshes

Source mesh size: 400 Target mesh size: 1600

Consistently creating and mapping fields for time 0

interpolating p
interpolating U

End
Can Someone help me?...I can't understand what's going on

Thanks for advance.

I never used mapfields but it seems to me that mapFields has done it's job as it should because it finished without error even though the AMI wasn't created Mapfields should run without a mapFieldsDict if used with the parameter -consistent. If you followed the tutorial most of the things you need should be provided. Just try to proceed with the guides steps.

A "." in linux means the folder you are in. A ".." in linux means a the folder before the folder. So one up in the foldertree.

Source is the case you are pulling your field information from
Target is the case you want to set your field information alike the source.
