Hello again 👋
I have come across another interesting question in regarding SnappyHexMesh. Is it possible to get the number of devisions around an object, for instance a cylinder? Let's consider refinement level (6,6). I know the the theory of the refinement and I have attached a figure for that, nevertheless, what about the number of element around the cylinder? Thank you for your advice. |

Hello Saeed,
In snappyHexMeshDict you can activate some writeFlags to write the refinement level as a scalar field. (check the end of snappyHexMeshDict here: https://develop.openfoam.com/Develop...ppyHexMeshDict) Then you can use the treshold filter in ParaView to filter cells based on their refinement level. In the information tab you should get the cell count. Let me know if this answers your question! Regards, Yann |
