Hey everyone,
I am trying to create my own case with the air-water interface. I ran the command setFields in the terminal and I did not get any error. I am also getting the alpha.water file with '0' and '1'. But for some reason, I am unable to view the resultant field in ParaView. I have attached the link to the screen record of me trying to view the results in the ParaView along with this. alpha.water is not appearing in the drop-down button where 'solid colour', 'vtkCompositeIndex' etc... Since that is not visible in the video I have also attached a picture which shows it. video https://drive.google.com/file/d/16Tu...ew?usp=sharing picture https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Lhc...ew?usp=sharing Can anyone tell me the reason for this? Thank you in advance Kind regards vava10 |

Hello,
Hard to answer without the screenshot, but my best guess is you have to untick the "skip zero time" in ParaView when loading your case in order to load the 0 time variables. Cheers, Yann |

It is an old post, but for anyone need an answer the below might help:
In case you run a simulation on OpenFOAM for a multiphase flow and can not visualize the alpha.<liquid> field, you may try below: 1. Filters -> Alphabetical -> Extract Surface 2. Extract Surface (right click) -> Alphabetical -> Generate Surface Normals. Hope that helps someone. |
