createPatch

Dear Foamers,

Can I create a patch of particular size (particular area) using "createPatch" utility? I have an STL surface mesh and I want to select a specific portion or area of the mesh where I want to apply a fixed gradient boundary condition. Any suggestion on how can I do that? examples with bits of code will be really helpful or some examples where this type of issue has been mentioned will be great.

First you should create a faceSet and faceZone with toposetDict, then apply createPatch to create patch from faceZone
