Hi All
I am copying a file from OpenFOAM 6.0 into OpenFOAM 4.x. I have switched the names of alpha.water to alpha.liquid. When I run the solver, I get the FATAL IO ERROR: cannot find file alpha.water at line 0. But since I've changed the names to alpha.liquid, I'm unsure why it is looking for alpha.water. Any help you have is sincerely appreciated. Thanks so much! Last edited by joshmccraney; November 2, 2020 at 01:19. |

I think it should work if you rename it to alpha.water. The solver is looking for alpha.water and not alpha.liquid. I don't know if you can change that somewhere.
Why did you change it to alpha.liquid? |

Thanks, works well. I changed it to match a tutorial. It's a custom solver, so that was the issue. Thanks for your help...didn't realize it would be so easy!
