Heat exchange (Batteries - Air)

Hi everyone
I have a problem with a heat exchange simulation. My system is simple: I have two Batteries (Heat source: 1500 W) and a mass flow inlet of air that is at ambient temperature (around 300 K). I have set the initial condition of the temperature for the batteries of 343 K (I have to simulate the exchange in the baddest conditions) but the problem is that if I let run the simulation there is no convergence; it's like there is no Heat Source at all because the temperature decreases until it reaches the ambient condition. Could anyone help me with this problem? |

You have set Heat Source at surfaces like "Assieme con fondo modificato per CHT STAR con estrusioni 2_SOLID.Battery Pack 2" - which is ignored since it is part of the Interface and thus it's values (as a boundary condition) are ignored, it's just a heat transfer interface now.
To set up internal battery heat source: Batteries -> Physics Conditions -> Energy Source Option = Total Heat Source Batteries -> Physics Values -> Heat Source = 3000 W Keep in mind that you've chosen default Copper material for batteries (Solid Physics) - and you might need to adjust it to properties of your battery. |
