Hello Everyone,
I want to get familiar with the Mesh Deformation Code(SU2_DEF). So I plan to take a 2-D ellipse (along with its mesh) and squish it appropriately to naca 0012. To perform this task I plan to parameterize the ellipse geometry using control points from FFD/HH bump function. Then I plan to manually tweak the control points in a sequence of about 20 steps that would eventually lead me to naca 0012 geometry. I know how to parameterize my geometry using SU2 but I do not know how to feed the "manually tweaked control points" to SU2_DEF that can deform the initial mesh. I also want to know after tweaking how can I get the deformed mesh for visualization purpose from SU2_DEF. Any help from the community on this task will be really helpful. Thank You |

Hello,
Can someone clarify if it is even possible to pass the design variables to SU2_DEF directly through Python? From my understanding of looking into the Shape Optimization.py file and the other optimization tutorials in the website, SU2_DEF suite is somehow invoked under the hood. Can someone share insight on to how is it getting invoked? Thank You |
