OpenFOAM 2.40 installation on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

I have been using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. By the way, I'd like to install the newest version of OpenFOAM (v2.40) to use multi-grading mesh. It seems that OpenFOAM v2.40 can be only installed into Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, though.. Is there any way to install OpenFOAM 2.40 into Ubuntu 12.04 LTS? I did not try to do that yet. So, I can still use previous versions of OpenFOAM like v2.3, 2.2, etc without any other problem if I upgrade Ubuntu 12.04 LTS into 14.04 LST? I will appreciate it if someone can let me know it. Thank you. |
